Transitioning business to iPhone Apps

Over the last few months and with the experience of having my first published iOS application available in the iTunes App Store I have made the decision to focus entirely on the iPhone market place for my future business endeavors.

the iPhone and the ecosystem that they have built is quite simply amazing right now for both developers and marketers to jump into.  With the experience I have in both areas I am in a unique position to capitalize on the market.

Building things for the iPhone/iPad market is a lot of fun.  Having the distribution side of things figured out means that the biggest problem with internet marketing is irrelevant – Traffic.  There’s almost no magical SEO required to rank a iOS app higher in the App Store search results.   Simply building top quality software is enough to make an impression.

The killer thing is that pairing good quality software with an eye towards the marketing aspects of communicating with customers and building relationships to further develop additional sales puts you far ahead of 90% of the developers in the App Store right now.

There is a lot of iPhone and iPad apps available in the store right now, but most get ignored and will wallow in obscurity.  With just a bit of promotion it is still relatively easy to get above the pack and show yourself as one of the best.

I have a few secrets up my sleeve to help me make a better go at this than most (Hopefully) .  So over the next few months I expect to launch a couple of apps and games that should see Halotis Inc. rocket into stardom.

fingers crossed.
